OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (SENIOR GRADE)
FULL TIME - PERMANENT POST
LOCATION: MENTAL HEALTH REHABILITATION UNIT, NORTH CORK
We are currently seeking applications from Occupational Therapists
interested in joining the expanding Occupational Therapy team within
Nua Healthcare. The Occupational Therapist will be working with adults
in a well-established Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit based in North
Cork working alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates
must demonstrate the necessary interest, capability, performance and
enthusiasm in line with the requirements of this role.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA REQUIRED FOR THE POST:
* Have a recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist and
CORU registration
* Have at least two years relevant post qualification experience as
an Occupational Therapist working in a mental health setting alongside
a multidisciplinary team
* Keen interest in working with adults presenting with complex
mental health difficulties at varying stages of their recovery
* Have experience in running therapeutic services and programs
including occupation-based and psycho-educational groups
* Possess a knowledge of individual care planning and experience
contributing to risk assessment
* Have a knowledge of the Judgement Support Framework and supporting
compliance with same
* Have a willingness to support the ongoing development of the
occupational therapy department with a desire to engage in service
development and quality improvement projects
* Be committed to the delivery of quality, person-centred,
community-based services
* Have excellent communication and team-working skills
* Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a
self-directed manner in a dynamic fast paced environment
DESIRED CRITERIA FOR THE POST:
* Knowledge, training and experience supporting those with sensory
processing difficulties
* Assessment of Motor and Processing Skills training and calibrated
* Knowledge writing detailed reports for ?Ward of Court?
hearings
